Registration for swim lessons is only available "in person" at SWAC's front desk... typically about 4 weeks prior to the first class of the session. Payment is necessary at the time of registration. No refunds after session has begun.  SWAC has a strict "No Make-up" policy.
Private lessons are also available and can be arranged at your convenience and coaches availability.  Contact SWAC's front desk at 263-6633.

SWIM LESSON DESCRIPTION
Some classes may not be available each session


Parent/Child  18 months – 5 years 
For beginners who might learn better/faster with a parent in the water.  Parent does actual water work with the instructor guiding them.  Goal:  Fun water experience.  Gain comfort in water and basic aided locomotion. 

Guppies I (Preschool Beginner) Ages 3 – 5 years    
For beginners who have not had lessons before.  No water skills required.  Goal:  Fun water experience.  Gain comfort in water, floating, bubble blowing, and basic locomotion. 

Guppies II (Preschool Advanced)  Ages 3 – 5 years
Must be comfortable in water, face in water, and be able to float on front or back.  Goal:  Fun water experience.  Learn floating, independent locomotion, and crawl arm action.

Stingrays I (Beginner I)  Ages 5 & Up
No experience needed.  Child has no skills or has a fear of the water.  Goal:  Fun water experience.  Learn water comfort, floating, independent locomotion, and crawl arm action.

Stingrays II (Beginner II)  Ages 5 & Up
Child has no fear of the water.  Should be able to float on back AND front.  Comfortable with face in water.  Goal:  Begin to learn crawl strokes and advanced locomotion.

Stingrays III (Beginner II)  Ages 5 & Up
Knows crawl strokes on front AND back.  Goal:  Continue to improve crawl strokes and side breathing.  Some breaststroke. 

Dolphins (Advanced Beginner)
Must be able to swim one length crawl strokes on front AND back.  Minimal breathing skills required.  Goal:  Fine tune crawl strokes and learn some breaststroke and/or butterfly.

Sharks (Swimmers)
Prerequisite:  front crawl, back crawl, and elementary back stroke.Goal:  learn butterfly, breaststroke, efficiency, and endurance training.

Aquatic Fitness  M,W,F  8:30-9:30am
A fitness program designed towards the individual’s need – cardiovascular, technique, or regimented work out schedule.  Should be able to swim 50 yards comfortable.  Goal:  to create a positive workout environment for everyone’s needs. 

Swim Team Description

Pre Comp  Get to know the coaching staff.  The first step in team swimming.  Learn the competitive side to swimming.

Beginners  Develop competitive strokes in young swimmers.  Get your first taste of individual and team competition.

Advanced  Very strong swimmer and/or previous swim team experience.  Option to compete in meets and option to practice extra days.  Learn competitive skills and sportsmanship.

Masters  A great environment for adult – beginning and advanced – competitive swimmers.
